Army conducts recruitment drive for youth of Kashmir Valley 

The Indian Army conducted a recruitment drive for the youth of the Kashmir valley. Youths from Kupwara, Baramulla, Bandipora and Ganderbal participated in the recruitment rally. 

The recruitment, which was held from the 12th to 15th October was for the Jammu and Kashmir Light Infantry. Around 2,000 youth took part in the recruitment drive. 

The Indian army said that they are overwhelmed by the response.   

Jammu and kashmir police also organised a recruitment rally in which a good number of female candidates participated. 

The recruitment drive for Special Police Officers was organised in the Ramban district. As many as 4,072 candidates including female candidates competed for their final selection. 

These girls belong to remote and hilly parts of Ramban district. Though eligibility is matriculation,the aspirants include many a intermediates and graduates.

Recruitment drive for Special Police Officers is being seen as yet another step towards women empowerment. 

The recruitment drive has received an overwhelming response from youth across the state and will go a long way in providing gainful employment to these youths.
