
Guwahati, May 6: A remarkable opportunity has emerged for youth preparing for government jobs. The Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) has issued an official notification for the recruitment of 22 Home Guard positions in the Assam Home and Political Department. Eligible candidates are invited to apply for these Junior Grade Home Guard roles.
The online application process will commence on May 8 and will close on June 7. Candidates wishing to fill out the application form can submit their registration before the deadline, once the link is activated on the official website. The last date for submitting the application fee is set for June 9.
Applicants must possess a graduation degree in any subject from a recognized institution or university. Additionally, candidates must meet other specified eligibility criteria and skills. The minimum age for applicants is 21 years, while the maximum age is 38 years, calculated as of January 1. Candidates from reserved categories will receive age relaxation as per regulations.
Selection of qualified candidates will be based on a written examination, physical standards/physical efficiency test (PET), medical standards test, interview/personality test, document verification, and the final merit list. Selected candidates will receive a monthly salary ranging from ₹22,000 to ₹97,000, along with a grade pay of ₹11,800 and other benefits.
When filling out the application form, candidates must pay the prescribed application fee online, which is set at ₹297.20 for General candidates, ₹197.20 for OBC/MOBC, and ₹47.20 for SC/ST/BPL/PWD candidates.
To apply online, candidates should first visit the official APSC website. After reaching the homepage, click on the active application link for the relevant position. Then, register and log in. Fill in all required information in the form and upload the necessary documents in the correct size. After that, pay the registration fee and submit the form. Finally, print a copy of the application for future reference.
