New Delhi, September 3 (Daily Kiran) : The recent appointment of former Air Marshal Jitendra Mishra as the CEO of the Ram Mandir Trust in Ayodhya has been met with enthusiasm from both the saint community and Sufi organizations. Mahant Ravindra Puri, president of the Akhil Bharatiya Akhara Parishad, congratulated Mishra on his new role and expressed optimism that he would enhance the temple’s management.
Sufi Kashish Warsi, national president of the Indian Sufi Foundation, also welcomed Mishra’s appointment, highlighting his military background as an asset for his new responsibilities.
While addressing a gathering in Haridwar, Mahant Puri remarked that just as Mishra served the nation during his tenure with the Indian Air Force, he now has the divine opportunity to oversee temple operations. He referred to this as a “golden chance” and expressed hope that Mishra would fulfill his duties with dedication and skill. Puri praised the recent changes within the trust, noting the significance of having representation from the saint community, and welcomed the appointment of Swami Govinddev Giri as a chief priest alongside new trustees.
Puri particularly commended the inclusion of a woman in the trust for the first time, emphasizing her background in education, which he believes will positively impact the trust’s functioning.
He expressed confidence that the new executive team would collaborate with senior saints from the Vaishnav and Ramanandi traditions to further the temple’s initiatives. With the guidance and support of the saint community, temple-related activities can be carried out more effectively.
In Muradabad, Sufi Kashish Warsi reiterated his support for Mishra’s role as CEO of the Ram Mandir Trust. He noted that Mishra’s disciplined approach, honed during his military service, would be beneficial in managing the trust’s responsibilities. Warsi referenced Mishra’s involvement in “Operation Sindoor,” underscoring that his experience in serving the nation would now contribute to managing a significant cultural and religious heritage like the Ram Mandir.
Warsi also addressed criticisms from political parties regarding the appointment, suggesting that such concerns are politically motivated. He viewed the assignment of a person with a service background to a prominent cultural role as a positive development, expressing hope that Mishra would enhance the country’s reputation during his tenure.
