Vijayawada, Apr 7 : Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy is going to reshuffle his Cabinet on April 11. The last Cabinet meeting, presided over by the Chief Minister, was held here on Thursday evening. Sources said that ”all the 25 ministers submitted their resignations to the Chief Minister giving free hand to him to select the new Ministers”. According to YSRCP sources, except two Cabinet ministers, all the 23 ministers would be replaced with new faces. Reddy will meet Governor Biswabhusan Harichandan on April 9 to apprise him about rejig of his Cabinet. It may be mentioned here that Chief Minister announced after taking oath as Chief Minister on May 30, 2019 that the present Cabinet would be reconstituted after two-and-half years with new faces. In fact the reshuffle was supposed to take place in December 2021 but due to Covid-19 pandemic it was put on hold. According to YSRCP sources, Panchayat Raj minister Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy and Finance Minister Buggana Rajendranath Reddy would remain in the Cabinet while all other 23 ministers would be replaced with new faces. Some of the Ministers were seen holding a last meeting with officials and telling them that it would be their last review meeting. The Chief Minister met the Governor on Wednesday and explained to him about the reshuffle of Cabinet. The ruling YSRCP has 151 MLAs while four Telugu Desam party MLAs joined the party. The lone Janasena MLA has been extending support to the ruling YSRCP without joining the party. Meanwhile, the aspirants have begun intense lobbying to find a berth in the Cabinet. DP CS1651
