Guntur, April 7 : Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy took exception to the comments of opposition party leaders that the wrong policies of YSRCP government would turn the state like Sri Lanka which was battling with severe economic crisis. A public meeting was organised in Narasaraopet in Palanadu district on Thursday to felicitate the Grama volunteers, Ward volunteers with Seva Mithra and Seva Rathna and Seva Vajra wards. Addressing the meeting, Reddy said that the Opposition party leaders were making allegations that by implementing many welfare schemes the Chief Minister was making Andhra Pradesh another Sri Lanka. If welfare schemes are implemented will Andhra Pradesh become Sri Lanka, he asked. He told the cadres that they were battling against Rakshasa and Maricha and also their affiliated Yellow Medias. Referring to the opposition party leader’s comments that Prime Minister Narendra Modi counselled Jagan Mohan Reddy during the meeting in Delhi on Wednesday, he ridiculed them asking whether they hid under the sofa to listen to what they discussed. The Chief Minister informed that his meeting with the Prime Minister was held in a cordial atmosphere. The Opposition leaders resorted to misleading campaigns against the YSRCP government with a fear of defeat in the next election also. Reddy said that the government is implementing 33 welfare schemes and so far Rs 1.34 lakh crore had been spent for the purpose. Commenting on actor-turned politician and Janasena Party Chief K Pawan Kalyan’s comment that he would ensure that the anti-YSRCP votes would not split, the Chief Minister said that they would join hands to ensure split of votes and also to ensure not to split votes which he termed as unethical.
