Anurag Kashyaps Kennedy Set to Premiere on February 20

Los Angeles, February 9: Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap’s highly anticipated film ‘Kennedy’ is set to premiere on G5 on February 20. The trailer has already been released, showcasing a narrative filled with violence, pain, and the struggle for liberation. Actor Rahul Bhatt shared insights about his character in the upcoming film.

The trailer offers a glimpse into a profound story. It immerses viewers in a world filled with silence, anger, and the fight for survival. Bhatt described his character, saying, “Playing Kennedy has transformed me. He is lonely, very angry, and weak inside. He is constantly fleeing from his past. His struggle to live amidst silence and anger is both exhausting and enlightening. Seeing the audience’s connection has boosted my confidence. I am eagerly waiting for viewers to witness Kennedy’s pain, his journey, and his quest for freedom.”

Set against the backdrop of Mumbai’s underworld, the film follows Kennedy Uday Shetty (played by Rahul Bhatt), a former police officer turned contract killer. Living a double life as a cab driver, he carries out assassinations for a corrupt police commissioner, Rashid Khan. After losing his son and grappling with the pain of a broken family, Kennedy finds himself in a city that confronts his past. He becomes entangled in bombings, extortion rackets, and powerful conspiracies. Thus begins a violent race for truth, revenge, and freedom.

The film promises action and striking visuals. Anurag Kashyap remarked, “’Kennedy’ is one of my most special films. Its journey has been long, but the reactions at festivals have reassured us that we made the right decision. The trailer introduces you to Kennedy’s world, a man who appears violent on the outside but is deeply wounded inside. I am pleased that G5 is bringing it to audiences without any cuts.”

Sunny Leone also discussed her character, Charlie. She stated, “’Kennedy’ challenged me as an actor, taking me to a very different emotional place. Charlie is mysterious, delicate, and strong. Working with Anurag taught me to trust silence. This experience was both challenging and fulfilling. I am eagerly awaiting the audience’s reaction to this dark yet beautiful world.”

The film also features Mohit Takalkar, Megha Barman, Aamir Dalvi, Abhilash, and Karishma Modi in significant roles. ‘Kennedy’ is set to premiere on G5 on February 20.
