Mumbai, March 9: Some relationships are so profound that they continue even after death. Anupam Kher exemplifies this bond through his unwavering support for his late friend, Satish Kaushik.
Kher is stepping into the role of a true friend following Kaushik’s passing in 2023. Although Kaushik is no longer with us, Kher is fulfilling his commitment to friendship by attending his daughter Vanshika’s school as her guardian to encourage her.
The long-standing friendship between Anupam Kher and Satish Kaushik is well-known, having collaborated on numerous films over the years. In a heartfelt gesture, Kher is looking after Kaushik’s daughter as if she were his own. He shared a video on Instagram featuring himself with Vanshika, expressing his pride in attending her stage show at school.
In the video, Kher recounts how Vanshika unexpectedly began delivering lines in front of him, leaving him nervous. “Being a part of her school event and watching her perform in the street play was one of the greatest joys of my life. Years ago, Satish and I performed street plays in Delhi. She is talented, hardworking, and an exceptional actress. I look forward to attending all her future events,” Kher stated.
It’s noteworthy that Kher and Kaushik’s friendship began at the National School of Drama (NSD), where they honed their theater skills together before transitioning to films. In 2009, Kaushik ventured into film direction with “Tere Sang,” produced by Kher, featuring Neena Gupta in a significant role. The duo has appeared in countless films together, including “Guru Dakshina,” “Hawai Dada,” “Agah,” “Thikana,” and “Kagaz-2.”
