Mumbai, August 21: Actor Anupam Kher’s mother, Dulari, has returned from Shimla after a long time. The emotional reunion was shared by Kher on social media, expressing his feelings about seeing his mother again.
In an Instagram video, Kher welcomed his mother back and shared how much he missed her during her absence. He jokingly remarked on her weight loss, asking if she was eating well. Dulari replied that she eats, but not much. Kher humorously added, “Being this thin isn’t good for you; you’re not a model!”
During their conversation, Kher also discussed his recent work. He mentioned filming in Ayodhya, which included scenes at the Ram Janmabhoomi site, and additional shoots in Hyderabad for the film “Khosla Ka Ghosla.”
In his post, Kher wrote, “Mom is back, and so is love. After staying in Shimla for a month and a half, I noticed she has lost some weight, which didn’t sit well with me. When I asked her, she said, ‘I don’t feel hungry.'”
Despite her weight loss, Kher noted that his mother still possesses her vibrant spirit and treasure trove of stories. He humorously recounted moments where she insisted on paying for everyone or retrieved a cough syrup bottle from the trash. He had to pause the video to record again due to the abundance of her tales.
Kher expressed gratitude for his sister-in-law, Reema, who takes great care of Dulari. He mentioned, “Reema is gradually understanding Mom’s stories and emotions. Mom’s tales are the most beautiful in the world, filled with innocence and warmth. Honestly, she makes not just our home, but the entire world beautiful with her presence.”
He concluded with a heartfelt message, stating, “Today, I realized how much I missed her. Mom, keep laughing, talking, sharing your stories, and yes, please eat a little more.”
