New Delhi, October 14 (Daily Kiran): Veteran actor Annu Kapoor, 69, has sparked widespread outrage after making an inappropriate comment about actress Tamannaah Bhatia during an interview. The remark, made while discussing the song “Aaj Ki Raat” from Stree 2, has drawn strong criticism from social media users, who have called his words “disrespectful” and “vulgar.”

Tamannaah’s energetic dance number “Aaj Ki Raat” has been trending online, inspiring thousands of reels from fans. However, Kapoor’s recent remarks have overshadowed the song’s popularity. During an interview on Shubhankar Mishra’s YouTube channel, the veteran actor referred to Tamannaah’s appearance in the song by saying, “Mashaallah, kya doodhiya badan hai” (meaning “what a milky body”), a statement many have condemned as objectifying.
The conversation took a more controversial turn when the host mentioned that children fall asleep listening to the song. Kapoor responded jokingly, asking, “How old are these children—70-year-old children maybe?” and continued with remarks perceived as suggestive.
Social Media Users Condemn Kapoor’s Remarks
The comments quickly went viral, with netizens expressing anger over his tone and choice of words. One user wrote, “Why is Annu Kapoor giving such creepy vibes?” while another commented, “Would you use such words for your own daughter?” Several users demanded that public figures maintain respect when speaking about women.
While a small section defended Kapoor by saying his comments were made in jest, the majority criticised him for crossing the line.
Tamannaah Bhatia, known for her powerful performances in both Hindi and South Indian cinema, has not yet issued any statement regarding the incident.
