Mumbai, March 4: International cricket umpire Anil Chaudhary has ventured into the world of acting. He made his on-screen debut with the Haryanvi gangster anthem “Goli To Chalegi.” Chaudhary shared that both acting and umpiring have their unique joys.
The music video for “Goli To Chalegi” is directed by Suman Guha, a fashion designer turned filmmaker, and produced by Naresh Jha under the Epic Films banner. Upon its release, the song garnered attention for its bold theme, stylish visuals, and high-octane action. Featuring a powerful vocal performance by Diamond, the video is shot in a cinematic style, resembling a short action film. Alongside Anil Chaudhary, the video also stars Rohit Kharab, Chandni Raut, and Himesh Dixit in significant roles.
Chaudhary’s confidence and natural acting reflect his experience as a cricket umpire. Speaking about his debut experience, he stated, “I had no fear of the camera as I often commentate in Haryanvi. Suman Guha guided me excellently. I thank producer Naresh Jha for this opportunity. The shoot was a lot of fun, and I enjoyed the work. Both umpiring and acting offer different pleasures, and my experiences in both fields have been fantastic.”
The launch event for the song saw the attendance of numerous celebrities from the film and television industry, including actors Gurmeet Chaudhary, Rajneesh Duggal, Rajeev Sen, Mishika Chaurasia, Vipin Bhardwaj, Siddhi Ahuja, and Priyanka.
