Chamoli, May 15: Garhwal MP Anil Baluni chaired a meeting of the District Development Coordination and Monitoring Committee at the Collectorate auditorium on Friday. During this session, he conducted a comprehensive review of centrally sponsored schemes. The meeting assessed the progress of various departmental initiatives.
Baluni instructed officials to work in coordination across all departments. He emphasized the need for effective implementation of schemes to ensure that their benefits reach the general public directly.
Highlighting the importance of promptly addressing public grievances, Baluni urged officials to take citizen complaints seriously and resolve them on a priority basis. He made it clear that such meetings would be held regularly to monitor the progress of development schemes.
Speaking to the media after the meeting, Baluni noted that all key district officials and representatives from various departments were present. Detailed discussions took place, and directives were issued to expedite the implementation of projects and swiftly address public issues. He added that another meeting would be convened in the next two to three months to review the directives given in the current meeting and assess progress.
In a post on the social media platform X, MP Anil Baluni wrote, “Today, I chaired an important review meeting of the Development, Coordination, and Monitoring Committee (Disha) held in Gopeshwar. Officials and representatives from all departments participated, presenting detailed progress reports on development and welfare schemes in the district. After a thorough review of ongoing projects in roads, education, health, drinking water, electricity, tourism, rural development, and other infrastructure initiatives, officials were instructed to complete all schemes within the stipulated timeframe, ensuring quality and transparency so that the benefits of development reach the most marginalized.”
He further stated, “Under the visionary, decisive, and welfare-oriented leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India is moving towards a new era of development, good governance, and self-reliance. With this resolve, we are continuously working with full commitment and determination for the comprehensive, balanced, and sustainable development of the Garhwal region.”
