
Amaravati, May 1: On the occasion of International Labor Day, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao extended their warm wishes to all workers.
N. Chandrababu Naidu congratulated the workforce and farming community through a post on social media. He stated, “No job is too small or too big. We must give equal respect to every hardworking individual. This day is significant for recognizing the rights of workers. These are the people who toil day and night. If agriculture, considered the backbone of our economy, is progressing, it is due to the hard work of our farmers and agricultural laborers.”
He further emphasized, “The country can truly advance only when workers and farmers collaborate in unity. That is why the government is continuously formulating and implementing plans for the welfare of both. Currently, the government is running several welfare and development schemes for workers.”
On May Day, Andhra Pradesh Governor S. Abdul Nazeer also conveyed his best wishes to all workers, praising their vital contribution to building a strong and self-reliant society. He remarked that the true foundation of the nation’s progress and prosperity lies in hardworking and dedicated individuals.
Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao also extended heartfelt greetings to all workers on International Labor Day. In his message, he mentioned that his government is working with the sentiments of workers in mind and will ensure they receive full respect and dignity.
The Chief Minister noted that, according to his government, workers are true partners in Telangana’s development. He added that the state’s new industrial policy will play a crucial role in empowering and developing workers.
Reiterating that the “people’s government” prioritizes the welfare and well-being of workers, Chief Minister Rao stated that inspired by the spirit of May Day, the government is implementing various welfare and development schemes.
He highlighted that the government has initiated several measures for the welfare of workers, providing direct and indirect employment to millions. He also mentioned that long-pending appointments based on compassionate grounds have been made in various government departments.
Additionally, he noted that the government is providing bonuses to Singareni Company employees before festivals like Dussehra and Diwali. This company plays a significant role in the state’s development and is a source of pride for the entire nation.
The Chief Minister announced that for the first time in Singareni’s history, the government has granted a bonus of ₹5,000 to every contract worker. With the support of banks, the state government is also providing a ₹1 crore insurance cover for Singareni workers. Special measures are being taken for the welfare of Telangana workers employed in Gulf countries, with families of deceased workers receiving financial assistance of ₹5 lakh.
