
New Delhi, April 25: The Andaman and Nicobar Police has announced a significant recruitment drive, releasing an official notification for a total of 495 vacancies across various positions in Group B (NG) and Group C.
The recruitment includes 31 Sub-Inspectors (Executive) from the Executive Branch, 155 Constables (Executive), 4 Constables (Bandman), 10 Cleaners (Executive), 1 Carpenter (Executive) (male only), 13 Cook Followers (Executive), 1 Tailor Follower (Executive), 1 Barber Follower (Executive), and 3 Washerman Followers (Executive).
Additionally, the Police Radio Organization (PR) is looking to fill 71 Radio Operators (ASI), 12 Radio Technicians (ASI), 2 Cipher Operators (ASI), 4 Fitter Electricians (HC) (male only), 1 Constable (VHF Operator), 2 Diesel Mechanics (male only), and 16 Messenger Followers.
From the Police Motor Transport (PMT), there are 2 Sub-Inspectors (PMT), 1 Dealing Assistant (HC), 1 Store Keeper (HC), 2 Assistant Mechanics (PC), 2 Mechanic Helpers (PC), and 15 Constables (Drivers) available.
The Police Marine Force (PMF) has openings for 2 Sub-Inspectors (Masters), 4 Police Constables (Greaser), and 7 Police Constables (Lasker).
In the Fire and Emergency Services (FS), there are 1 Sub-Inspector (Station Officer), 77 Firemen (PC – FS), 17 Police Constables (Driver – FS), 2 Cleaners (FS), 1 Cook Follower (FS), 1 Clerk Follower, 1 Sub-Inspector (General Duty), 29 Constables (General Duty), 2 Constables (Wireless), 1 Nursing Assistant, 1 Constable (Barber), 1 Constable (Cleaner), and 1 Constable (Water Carrier) positions open.
The online application process will begin on April 27 and will close on May 17. Interested candidates can submit their registration forms on the official website once the application link is activated.
Applicants must possess a 10th, 12th, or graduate degree from a recognized institution or university, depending on the position. Additionally, candidates must meet other eligibility criteria and skills as specified.
The minimum age for candidates is 18 years, with a maximum age limit ranging from 25 to 33 years, and up to 38 years for women, calculated as of May 17. Candidates from reserved categories will receive age relaxation as per regulations.
Selection will be based on physical measurement and endurance tests (PM and ET), written examinations, trade tests/skill assessments, document verification, and medical examinations. Selected candidates will receive a monthly salary ranging from ₹19,900 to ₹1,12,400, along with additional benefits and allowances.
During the application process, candidates must pay the prescribed application fee online, which is set at ₹100 for general/OBC/EWS male candidates. Women and candidates from the ST category will be exempt from the registration fee.
