Mumbai, October 14 (Daily Kiran): Actress Amrita Rao, known for her memorable performances in films like Vivah and Ishq Vishk, has made a shocking revelation about her past experiences in the film industry. In a recent podcast appearance, Amrita claimed that she once became a victim of black magic, which cost her three major film projects.
Amrita, who made her Bollywood debut in 2002 with Ab Ke Baras and later took a break from acting after marrying RJ Anmol in 2016, said she was unaware of such practices until a spiritual guide pointed it out. “There was a time when I met my guru. He spoke to my mother and said that someone had done black magic on me. Initially, I didn’t believe it, but when he said so, I felt there might be some truth to it,” Amrita shared.
She further explained that though she never directly experienced anything supernatural, a series of strange incidents made her reconsider. “I had signed three big films with reputed production houses. Oddly, none of those projects ever materialised. I even had to return my signing amount. It was a very disappointing and confusing phase for me,” she added.
Amrita refrained from naming anyone but admitted that such experiences made her believe there might be more to the rumours surrounding black magic and negative energy in the industry.
Her statement has since sparked widespread discussion on social media. While many users expressed sympathy and support, others dismissed her claims as superstition.
Amrita Rao, now back on screen with Jolly LLB 3, said she has learned to approach every life experience with positivity. Her performance in the film has been well-received, marking a strong comeback for the talented actress.
