Amitabh Bachchan Slams Media for Misrepresenting His Words
Amitabh Bachchan expressed his anger at media misrepresentation, warning them against distorting his messages.

Mumbai, November 2 (Daily Kiran) : Megastar Amitabh Bachchan has voiced his frustration over a recent media report that he claims misrepresented his words. In a post on X, he accused the press of twisting his statements for promotional purposes and issued a stern warning to journalists.
Bachchan’s comments stemmed from a post where he referenced a traditional phrase often associated with Lord Krishna: “Hathi Ghoda Palki, Jai Kanhaiya Lal Ki.” He asserted that the media distorted his message, taking it out of context.
In his post, he highlighted the misleading headline used by the media, clarifying that he often recites the phrase as a prayer for Krishna Kanhaiya. He emphasized that his words were not intended as a political statement or a challenge to any opponents, but rather a spiritual expression. He criticized the media for misrepresenting his intentions, suggesting it showed a lack of respect for religious sentiments.
Bachchan stated, “The media publishes this and suggests that I am challenging my opponents, saying, ‘Bring on the elephants and horses; we will fight with our weapons, we are not afraid!’ This is a gross misrepresentation in the name of ‘Jai Shri Krishna’ and a twisting of words to imply a challenge to adversaries.”
Expressing his discontent, the veteran actor sent a strong message to the media, noting that he has 50 million followers, and if provoked, even a fraction of them could rally in his support.
He also pointed out the double standards in accountability, stating that public figures often apologize for their mistakes, while the media rarely offers corrections for their errors. “When we make a mistake, we promptly apologize and seek to rectify it. Yet, it seems the media believes it has the divine right to misrepresent,” he remarked.
In a previous post, Bachchan had already expressed his concerns, stating, “We write prayers, and the media misuses our words, showing such helplessness? Now the media is in our hands too. Think wisely! It will have consequences.”
