Amit Shah Engages with Odisha BJP Leaders on Political Strategy

Bhubaneswar, March 7: Union Home Minister Amit Shah met with senior leaders of the BJP’s Odisha unit at the party headquarters in Bhubaneswar on Friday. The discussions focused on preparations for the upcoming Rajya Sabha elections and various organizational matters.

Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, Odisha BJP President and Rajya Sabha candidate Manmohan Samal, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Mukesh Mahaling, Rajya Sabha candidate Sujit Kumar, BJP-supported independent candidate and hotelier Dilip Ray, along with BJP MP Sambit Patra, were among the senior leaders present at the meeting.

After the meeting, Odisha BJP President Samal stated that the conversation with the Home Minister primarily revolved around organizational issues and the overall political situation in the state. He noted that Amit Shah engaged with party leaders and legislators regarding the current political and administrative landscape in Odisha, including developments related to government operations.

Samal mentioned that Shah exchanged ideas with party leaders on the functioning of the organization in Odisha and sought feedback on various political and organizational matters. The leadership also discussed strengthening the organization and preparing for the upcoming Panchayat elections. However, he clarified that there was no discussion on the strategy for the Rajya Sabha elections during the meeting with candidates.

Meanwhile, BJP MP Balabhadra Majhi remarked that the Home Minister discussed state-related issues, the forthcoming Rajya Sabha elections, organizational strengthening, and overall development in Odisha in detail. Majhi also mentioned that Shah urged BJP legislators to ensure the victory of the party’s fourth candidate, Dilip Ray, in the upcoming Rajya Sabha elections.

He further stated that the Home Minister assured full support from the central government for Odisha’s development and encouraged party leaders to work together to advance the state.
