Agartala, March 8 : Two days ahead of the fourth anniversary of the Biplab Kumar Deb government in Tripura on Home Minister Amit Shah will address a party gathering at the Vivekananda Stadium here on Tuesday followed by a visit to border outposts in South Tripura to review the progress of single row fencing along the Bangladesh border. Upon arrival he left for Udaipur to formally dedicate the silver doors in Mata Tripureswari temple – one of the 51 Shaktipiths – at Udaipur in Gomati district and unveil Pilgrimage Rejuvenation and Spiritual Heritage Augmentation Drive (PRASAD) project under which replica of the 51 Shakti temples would be constructed on 14.22 acres of land at a cost of Rs 44 crore. After the rally Shah is scheduled to visit Sabroom Indo-Bangladesh border in South Tripura along with home secretary Ajay Kumar Bhalla and lay the foundation for the third National Forensic Science versity (NFSU) at the southern outskirts of the city in the afternoon. According to reports, although the BJP-IPFT government in Tripura would complete its fourth year in office on March 10, the celebration was pre-poned because of the vote counting for the Assembly elections in five states on that day. Moreover, Shah reportedly wished to offer prayers and puja to the Tripureswari temple before counting begins in the poll-bound states. Shah arrived on a special flight at MBB airport from Delhi and thereafter went to Tripureswari temple at Udaipur by chopper. After offering puja and formally installing silver doors at the temple, he is scheduled to return to Agartala. After lunch, Shah would address a gathering of the ruling BJP highlighting the success of the first BJP led government in Tripura. In the afternoon, he would again go to South Tripura along with the officials to visit border outposts and interact with the BSF officials of Tripura Frontier to discuss the border management issues including the progress of fencing. Late in the afternoon, Shas would visit to Anandanagar, about 25 kilometre south of the capital city, and lay the foundation for the upcoming NFSU campus, which will be the third in the country after Gandhinagar and Delhi. In the evening, Shah might interact with the Chief Minister and other top functionaries of state BJP on organisational issues, before leaving for Delhi around 8.30 PM. BB SSP
