Mumbai, March 1: India has secured a spot in the semi-finals by defeating the West Indies by 5 wickets. With this victory, all four teams for the semi-finals have been confirmed. Let’s take a look at when and where the matches will take place.

Semi-Final 1: South Africa, having won all three matches in Group 1, will face New Zealand on March 4 at Eden Gardens in Kolkata. South Africa has remained unbeaten in the T20 World Cup 2026. They kicked off their campaign with a 57-run victory against Canada, followed by a thrilling win over Afghanistan that went to the second Super Over. They then defeated New Zealand by 7 wickets and wrapped up the group stage with a 6-wicket win against the UAE.

In the Super-8 stage, South Africa triumphed over India by 76 runs, secured a 9-wicket victory against the West Indies, and concluded their Super-8 campaign with a 5-wicket win against Zimbabwe.

On the other hand, New Zealand, in Group 2, started strong by defeating Afghanistan by 5 wickets and then crushed the UAE by 10 wickets. However, they faced a setback against South Africa, losing by 7 wickets, before finishing the group stage with an 8-wicket win over Canada. Their first Super-8 match against Pakistan was abandoned due to rain, but they bounced back with a 61-run victory over Sri Lanka, only to lose to England by 4 wickets.

Semi-Final 2: This match will see India take on England on March 5 at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. India began the group stage with a 29-run win against the USA, followed by victories over Namibia by 93 runs and Pakistan by 61 runs, and a 17-run win against the Netherlands.
