Mumbai, March 31: Education holds significant value for everyone, whether they are ordinary people or film industry stars. Actor Akshay Kumar recently discussed the importance of education, admitting that he often feels inferior when meeting highly educated individuals.
Despite being a successful actor known for delivering hit films, Kumar openly acknowledges his lack of formal education. During a recent show, he spoke with a well-educated contestant named Sonali, stating, “Anyone, especially someone like me who isn’t very educated, sometimes feels small in front of people like you.”
He further reflected, “Sometimes I think I should have studied more. I realize now that I wish I had pursued my education, but even when I want to read, I find it difficult because I don’t enjoy it.”
Kumar also mentioned his wife, Twinkle Khanna, who is an accomplished author with four books to her credit and is currently working on a fifth. He humorously admitted, “You won’t believe it, but I haven’t read any of Twinkle’s books. Whenever I try to read, I end up in tears for some reason.”
The actor praised Sonali for her multiple degrees and stressed the importance of education, saying, “I just want to say that reading is essential. Don’t follow people like me; follow people like Sonali.”
He also shared that his wife recently completed her master’s degree and plans to pursue a PhD. Kumar consistently encourages his children to prioritize their education.
