Mumbai, August 11: Actors Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan are set to star in the highly anticipated film ‘Havaan’, which is ready for its theatrical release. On Tuesday, the makers revealed the teaser release date via social media.
Akshay Kumar shared a photo of himself and Saif Ali Khan on Instagram, captioning it, “Revenge is my reason, every sense is his weapon. Whose side are you on? Hero or Havaan? The teaser drops tomorrow.” ‘Havaan’ is a gripping thriller directed by Priyadarshan. The film is produced by KVN Productions and The Spian Films, with Venkat K. Narayan and Shailaja Desai collaborating on production.
This film marks the reunion of Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan on screen after nearly 18 years, generating significant excitement among fans. Alongside them, Shreya Pilgaonkar and Saiyami Kher will also play pivotal roles. ‘Havaan’ is scheduled to hit theaters on September 11.
Previously, the two actors appeared together in the film ‘Tashan’. Although released under the Yash Raj Films banner, ‘Tashan’ did not perform exceptionally well at the box office. Directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya, the film also featured Kareena Kapoor Khan and Anil Kapoor in key roles.
On the other hand, Akshay Kumar was recently seen in ‘Welcome to the Jungle’, the third installment of the popular ‘Welcome’ film franchise. Directed by Ahmed Khan and produced by Firoz Nadiadwala, this Hindi action-comedy film boasts a cast of over 30 actors, including Sunil Shetty, Raveena Tandon, Disha Patani, Jacqueline Fernandez, Paresh Rawal, Arshad Warsi, and Johnny Lever.
The film received mixed reviews from audiences and critics alike but managed to perform decently at the box office.
