Akhilesh Yadav Visits Ayodhya Amid Political Tensions

Ayodhya, October 8 (Daily Kiran) : Akhilesh Yadav, the national president of the Samajwadi Party and former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, is scheduled to visit Ayodhya on Thursday. He will attend the Shrimad Bhagwat Katha Gyan Yagya at the residence of former minister and ex-MLA Tej Narayan Pandey, also known as Pawan Pandey. This visit has generated considerable excitement within the Samajwadi Party ranks.

Awdhesh Prasad, the MP from Ayodhya, expressed his warm welcome for Yadav’s visit, saying, “Akhilesh Yadav is coming here to participate in the Bhagwat Katha program. I extend heartfelt greetings on behalf of the esteemed people of my parliamentary constituency.”

In Lakhnow, party spokesperson Ashutosh Verma confirmed the invitation extended to Yadav. He noted that Pawan Pandey had already laid out the event’s framework, ensuring all protocols were met. “Today, our national president will arrive. This is a significant event, offering him a chance to connect with party workers and discuss local politics and potential candidates for upcoming elections. This visit is part of our strategy for the 2027 assembly elections, and the national president is fully engaged in electoral preparations,” Verma stated.

The Congress party also weighed in on Yadav’s visit. Spokesperson Surendra Rajput remarked, “Akhilesh Yadav is going to Ayodhya. No visa is required for such a visit. This is a personal, religious, and spiritual journey for him. He is attending the Bhagwat Katha, and if Lord Ram wills it, he may also seek the blessings of Ram Lalla.”

Rajput criticized the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), questioning their discomfort with Yadav’s visit. “Why is the BJP and its ecosystem troubled by Akhilesh Yadav’s trip to Ayodhya? It’s perplexing. The BJP has merely politicized Lord Ram’s name and has even been implicated in scams related to donations made in his name, which has left them anxious,” he added.

Tensions between the parties continue to rise as the 2027 elections approach, with Yadav’s visit serving as a focal point for political discourse in the region.
