Akhil Sachdeva: Aiming for the Stage Until His Last Breath

Mumbai, August 21: Akhil Sachdeva, the composer behind the song “Piya Ghar Aaya-Homecoming” from Emraan Hashmi’s recently released film “Awaraapan 2,” shared insights about his unique journey and future plans. He emphasized that his path has been quite different from that of many singers.

In an interview, Sachdeva stated, “Most singers start with playback singing in films, gain recognition, and then move on to live performances. I chose the exact opposite route. I began my musical journey with stage shows and quickly realized that I was meant for the stage.”

He expressed his deep connection to performing live, saying, “My dream is to take my last breath on stage. For me, the stage is not just a place to sing and perform; it is where I connect directly with my audience.”

Akhil revealed that he has performed in various parts of the world, allowing him to meet diverse audiences and showcase his music. “These live performances have helped me reach people’s hearts. The love from my audience matters more to me than any recognition,” he added.

Over time, he realized that he possesses not only singing talent but also the ability to write and compose music. “There is still a lot of music within me that I have yet to share. People have only seen one side of my personality, and in the future, they will witness a completely different aspect,” he noted.

With this mindset, Akhil is set to embark on his independent music journey. He announced, “Starting this month, I will begin sharing my own music on YouTube. This time, I don’t want to create songs based on a film’s narrative or someone else’s preferences. I want to convey my thoughts and emotions through my music.”

He added, “The artist within me now wants to fully emerge. I have many songs, and I don’t want to keep them to myself. If I can’t share my music with others, it would feel incomplete for me. Therefore, I aim to reach as many people as possible with my voice and music.”

To focus on this new beginning, Akhil has decided to step back from live shows for the time being. He explained that continuous performances can place an artist in a different world. “Now, I want to concentrate on my new music and move this work in a defined direction,” he concluded.
