Shimla, June 17: The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Bilaspur, Himachal Pradesh, has announced a recruitment drive for a total of 75 positions, including professors, through both regular and contract appointments. This official notification invites eligible candidates to apply before the deadline of June 20.
The vacancies for regular posts include 20 positions for professors and 2 for associate professors. Additionally, there are 27 assistant professor positions available through direct recruitment and 26 assistant professor roles on a contract basis.
Among the 20 professor positions, there are 2 in Anesthesia and 1 each in Burn and Plastic Surgery, Cardiology, Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery, Dermatology, General Medicine, General Surgery, Hospital Administration, Neurology, Neurosurgery, Ophthalmology, Orthopedics, Pediatric Surgery, Pathology, Psychiatry, Pulmonary Medicine, Radiotherapy, Transfusion Medicine, and Urology.
For the 2 associate professor roles, there is 1 position each in Neurology and Ophthalmology. The 27 assistant professor positions include 8 in Anesthesiology, 6 in Trauma and Emergency, and 2 each in Clinical Immunology and Rheumatology (Clinical Service) and General Medicine. Other specialties include Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery, Endocrinology, Gastroenterology, General Surgery, Hospital Administration, Nephrology, Nuclear Medicine, Obstetrics and Gynecology, and Surgical Gastroenterology.
On a contract basis, the 26 assistant professor positions include 3 in Cardiology, 2 each in General Surgery and Radiology, and 1 each in Anesthesia, Biochemistry, Burn and Plastic Surgery, Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery, Clinical Immunology and Rheumatology (Clinical Service), Community and Family Medicine, Dermatology, Forensic Medicine and Toxicology, Gastroenterology, Neonatology, Nuclear Medicine, Orthopedics, Pediatrics, Physiology, Psychiatry, Pulmonary Medicine, Transfusion Medicine, and Urology.
The online application process has commenced via Google Forms, with the final date for submission set for June 20. Candidates interested in these positions should visit the official AIIMS Bilaspur portal and click on the notification link for the relevant post. Applications must be submitted by 5 PM on the deadline.
After successfully applying online, candidates must send a hard copy of their application along with all relevant documents to the address: All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Bilaspur, Himachal Pradesh-174037, by 5 PM on June 25.
Applicants must possess an MD, MS, MSc, PhD, MCh, DM, MS, MHA, MD PMR/DNB PMR, or equivalent from a recognized institution or university, along with relevant experience and skills as specified. The maximum age limit for applicants ranges from 50 to 70 years, calculated as of the application deadline, with age relaxation for reserved category candidates.
Selection will be based on screening, shortlisting, and interviews. Selected candidates will receive a salary ranging from ₹1,01,500 to ₹2,20,400 per month, along with additional benefits and allowances.
Candidates must pay the prescribed application fee online, which is set at ₹2,360 for General/OBC/EWS applicants. There is a fee waiver for candidates belonging to the PWD/SC/ST categories.
