New Delhi, February 19: Sunil Mittal, Chairman of the Bharti Group, stated on Thursday that sectors such as healthcare, education, advanced research, and medical science are poised for rapid advancement through the power of artificial intelligence (AI).
Speaking at the ‘India AI Impact Summit 2026′ held in the national capital, Mittal emphasized that AI has evolved beyond a mere technological trend to become a cornerstone of transformation across industries.
He explained that AI is altering how companies operate and deliver services. Particularly in healthcare and education, AI is expected to provide significant benefits by enhancing efficiency, fostering innovation, and improving access to services.
Mittal noted that AI has already become a crucial part of operations for the Bharti Group. The company utilizes AI to enhance customer service, build robust networks, and manage them more effectively. With AI, the quality of service is improving, and internal processes are becoming faster and smarter.
He stressed that the impact of AI will not be confined to just one or two sectors. From medical research to advanced scientific inquiry, AI will play a pivotal role in shaping the future. As companies adopt this technology, new opportunities for growth and innovation will emerge.
An official statement released earlier indicated that the expo features over 300 selected exhibition pavilions and live demonstrations, organized under three main themes: ‘People, Planet, and Progress.’
Additionally, more than 600 promising startups are participating, many of which are developing globally relevant solutions. These startups are showcasing solutions that have already been implemented in the real world.
During the summit, over 500 sessions will be held, featuring more than 3,250 expert speakers and panel members. These sessions will discuss the impact of AI across various fields and explore how its benefits can be extended to every citizen in the world.
