Mumbai, May 8: Adrija Roy, known for her role as Rahi in the popular TV show ‘Anupama’, has garnered significant appreciation for her performance. In a recent interview, she shared her thoughts on work ethics and the importance of integrity. Adrija firmly believes that when one works diligently and honestly, challenges tend to resolve themselves.
Reflecting on her experience, Adrija mentioned that she was aware of the show’s focus on Rupali Ganguly’s character, Anupama, even before joining. “When I was approached for the new generation leap, I was thrilled. ‘Anupama’ is a brand in itself. Being part of such a successful show is a major achievement for me. I am completely satisfied and happy with the role and space I have been given,” she stated.
She acknowledges that the path to success is filled with challenges, but with the right intention and hard work, every difficulty can be overcome. Adrija emphasized that she focuses more on her performance rather than fame, TRP ratings, or rankings. “I have always believed that if you work honestly, the obstacles along the way tend to resolve themselves,” she added.
Adrija praised the show’s producer, Rajan Shahi, for advising actors to concentrate on their performances rather than worrying about TRP or ratings. She agrees with this philosophy, stating, “I don’t let external pressure or stress affect me too much. I strive to give my best every day.”
The actress also noted similarities between herself and her character, Rahi. “There are definitely many similarities between Rahi and me, especially in terms of a positive outlook. Some situations in the story are written purely for dramatic effect, which we portray as actors. Personally, I may not always connect with every situation, but I try to understand Rahi’s perspective, especially in emotional scenes involving her mother. Sometimes viewers might think she is wrong, but from her viewpoint, her feelings are valid. As an actor, once I grasp the reasoning and emotional truth behind a scene, it becomes easier to portray it authentically.”
