ADM urges banks to raise C/D ratio

Hamirpur (HP), March 24 : Additional District Magistrate, Hamirpur, Jitendra Shanta has urged the bankers to help the people by providing them loans and thereby raising the c/d ratio in the district. At present, it stood at 21.62 per cent in the district. While speaking at a district level review committee-cum-banking advisory committee here on Wednesday, the ADM directed all the banks and the officers of the concerned departments to take the benefits of various banking loan and grant schemes to the common people. He said that the Central and state governments have started many subsidy schemes through various departments to promote self-employment, to benefit the people to fulfill the set targets. He stated that officers and bankers should play a mutual partnership so that more and more eligible persons can take advantage of these schemes. Shanjta further said that against the target of 1,743.00 crores for the financial year 2020-21, an achievement of 840.07 crores was recorded till December 2021, which was 48.19 per cent of the annual target. He informed that in the third quarter of the financial year 2020-21, all the banks had deposits of Rs 11,661.65 crore, and all the banks had loans of Rs 2,521.10 crore till the end of this quarter and the loan deposit ratio stood at 21.62 per cent. The ADM further informed that for the social security scheme, 1, 60,241 people were benefited under Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana, 44,142 under Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojna, and 17,746 people were benefited under Atal Pension Yojana. He directed all the banks to complete the targets of Mukhyamantri Swavalban Yojana and the Prime Minister’s employment by the last quarter. The meeting also discussed the steps to be taken to bring the entire social security scheme under the purview of Aadhaar based payment in the financial year 2021-22 and help in self-employment by providing loans under the Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana.
