Mumbai, April 6: Film director Aditya Dhar is not forgetting to acknowledge those who contributed to the success of his spy thriller ‘Dhurdhar: The Revenge,’ which is performing exceptionally well at the box office. After praising cinematographer Vikas Naulakha, Dhar has now credited editor Shivkumar V. Panikkar for showcasing each scene beautifully. His editing has brought the film’s high-voltage action and emotional scenes to life.
On Monday, Aditya Dhar shared a special post for Shivkumar V. Panikkar, referring to him as his closest friend and brother. He wrote, “Some relationships are not built just through a film, but through years of trust, understanding, and supporting each other.”
The director stated, “He is not just an editor but my closest friend, brother, and a reliable partner. His loyalty is so profound that it can move anyone to tears. He is always there for me when I need him and is ready to risk everything.”
Aditya Dhar also praised Shiv’s talent, stating, “Shiv is undoubtedly one of the fastest and smartest film editors, but what makes him special is his deep understanding of the film’s story, rhythm, and emotions. He doesn’t just edit the film; he breathes life into it.”
Dhar explained that while the decision to split ‘Dhurdhar’ into two parts was his, the credit for its success belongs entirely to Shiv Kumar. He wrote, “Shiv beautifully took on this responsibility and presented it magnificently. It was a real miracle for him.”
Aditya noted that editing such a large film usually takes months or even years, but Shiv completed it in just a few days. The director remarked, “The scale, quality, and timeline we achieved with ‘Dhurdhar’ has never been done before. A significant portion of this credit goes to Shiv.”
