Hyderabad, April 9 : Hyderabad City Police Commissioner C V Anand on Saturday said that Additional platoons of police force would be deployed for the Ram Navami Shobha Yatra procession here on Sunday. Anand, who chaired a meeting with all the senior officers and SHOs to review the final preparedness and Law and Order situation in view of the Shoba Yatra Procession, stressed that all the organizers must carry out the procession only on the route prescribed by the police and permitted by the Telangana High Court . CCTVs, Drones, day and night area domination, additional forces will be deployed to manage the massive crowd at religious places, procession routes and highly congested shopping areas during the yatra, he said. The Police Commissioner asked deputy officers to maintain special vigil on the main procession route and the roads abutting it. Main PCR, Special Branch were asked to be alert and keep a watch on social media and ensure video-graphing on procession routes, Anand said. All field-level issues pertaining to policing, other departments were spotted and findings were dovetailed and analysed for making elaborate bundobust arrangements, he said. On Sunday at 11 am, the procession starts from Seetarambagh temple in Mangalhat and proceed to Hanuman Vyayamshala School in Sultan Bazar passing through various places under Goshamahal and Sultan Bazar traffic police stations, the Commissioner said. Anand said that one tributary procession is from Akashpuri Hanuman temple and it will join the main procession at Gangabowli Junction in the midway of the main procession. The Shobha Yatra procession will cover 6.5 km and conclude at Hanuman Vyayamshala at about 10 p.m. Police have imposed traffic restrictions at various points along the procession route, he added.
