Adarsh Gaurav Explores Northeast Culture in New Documentary Series The Tribal Voice

Mumbai, March 10: Actor Adarsh Gaurav, known for his role in the web series “Tu Ya Main,” has shared his passion for travel and exploring offbeat paths. This interest is being fulfilled through the new documentary series “The Tribal Voice.” Gaurav expressed his enthusiasm for discovering the rich culture of Northeast India during the filming of the series.

The shooting for the series has commenced, featuring Gaurav closely exploring the vibrant culture and stories of tribal communities in Northeast India. The first episode begins on Majuli Island in Assam, recognized as the world’s largest river island. Here, Gaurav is immersing himself in the local traditions, cuisine, history, and daily lives of the residents.

Gaurav revealed that his primary motivation for choosing this project was the opportunity to deeply understand and experience the culture of the Northeast. He stated, “I have a genuine desire to understand the people of my country about whom I know very little. I enjoy traveling off the beaten path, but without this series, I may not have reached these communities or understood them so profoundly. I shared meals with locals, listened to their stories, and experienced their traditions firsthand. It has been a priceless experience for me.”

He further mentioned that collaborating with Edstart was also a significant factor. Edstart supports stories that truly matter, which gave him confidence in the project. The series showcases themes of heritage, resilience, and identity through music, history, and daily activities. It celebrates a creative spirit that remains vibrant even as it honors the past.

The series is produced by Charu Budhiraja of Edstart and is presented by Air India Express, with Dentsu Sports and Entertainment serving as the integration partner. The project is currently in production.
