Dr. Preeti Adani highlights the Adani Groups role in addressing Indias challenges through infrastructure projects aimed at a developed nation by 2047.

Varanasi, November 2 (Daily Kiran) : Dr. Preeti Adani, Chairperson of the Adani Foundation, emphasized on November 2 that the Adani Group is implementing large-scale infrastructure projects to tackle India’s major challenges. These efforts aim to contribute significantly to the goal of a “Developed India” by 2047.
Speaking at the “Ancient Knowledge for Modern Challenges” global symposium in Varanasi, Dr. Adani pointed out that India still faces severe issues like poverty, malnutrition, illiteracy, and ensuring access to basic amenities like electricity for all. She stressed the crucial role of the industrial sector in addressing these problems.
“India, as a vast nation, continues to grapple with challenges such as poverty and the need for essential services to reach the last mile,” Dr. Adani stated. “At the Adani Group, we are committed to implementing extensive infrastructure projects that will aid in achieving the goal of a developed nation by 2047.”
Referencing ancient Indian knowledge traditions, she urged businesses to prioritize sustainability and duty over self-interest. Dr. Adani highlighted yoga as a prime example of India’s global relevance, underscoring its message of balance between mind and body. She also noted that millets, once a staple of traditional food culture, are now a vital topic in global discussions on nutrition, climate resilience, and food security.
Dr. Adani reiterated the group’s commitment to sustainable development, revealing plans to invest over $100 billion in infrastructure projects related to energy transition. She mentioned the renewable energy project in Khavda, Gujarat, which is set to become the world’s largest renewable energy park, with a proposed capacity of 30 gigawatts from solar and wind energy.
“Sustainability should not just be a chapter in an annual report; it must be integrated into our actions and implementations,” she stated. Dr. Preeti Adani stressed the need for industries to adopt a long-term perspective for India’s development, social upliftment, and environmental balance, ensuring sustainable benefits for society and future generations.
