
Patna, May 17: Gautam Adani, Chairman of the Adani Group, announced on Sunday that the company aims to invest between ₹50,000 crore and ₹60,000 crore in Bihar’s infrastructure over the next three to four years.
During the inauguration of the ‘Akhand Jyoti Eye Hospital – Adani Center for Eye Diseases’ in Masti Chak, he highlighted various projects in Bihar. “We have laid the foundation for a 2,400 megawatt power project in Pirpainti, Bhagalpur district. Work on this project is progressing rapidly, along with road development initiatives,” he stated.
Adani emphasized the urgent need for infrastructure in Bihar, saying, “The time for Bihar’s growth has come. There is a significant requirement for infrastructure, roads, and industrialization in the state. The people of Bihar should fully capitalize on this opportunity.”
Gautam Adani visited Masti Chak for the inauguration of the eye hospital and the groundbreaking ceremony for a new facility, accompanied by his wife, Preeti Adani, who is also the Chairperson of the Adani Foundation.
He expressed his joy and pride in visiting Bihar, stating, “This sacred land, especially Masti Chak, brings me immense happiness. It symbolizes not just a state but the spiritual and cultural heritage of India. The experience at the Gayatri Shakti Peeth has given me profound peace, and chanting the Gayatri mantra brings tranquility to my mind. This visit inspires me to contribute positively to society.”
