Adani Group Shares Surge Nearly 3% Amid Sell-Off of Reliance and BSE Stocks

Mumbai, October 9 (Daily Kiran) : Adani Group shares experienced a notable rally of nearly 3% during Friday’s trading session in Mumbai. Meanwhile, both Reliance Industries and BSE saw significant selling activity.

In the Nifty 50 index, Adani Ports emerged as one of the top gainers, closing up 3.10% at ₹1,761. The stock reached an intraday high of ₹1,770, reflecting a 3.62% increase from its previous closing price.

Adani Enterprises also saw a rise, with its shares climbing 1.48% to close at ₹2,634.40. During the day, the stock peaked at ₹2,653, which was 2.19% higher than its last closing price.

Additionally, shares of Ambuja Cements rose by 3.08%, ending at ₹351.50, while Adani Green Energy shares increased by 1.63%, closing at ₹1,255.80.

Conversely, Reliance Industries fell by 0.65%, closing at ₹1,170.30, and BSE Limited dropped 1.43% to ₹3,287.20.

Among the top gainers in the Nifty index were Apollo Hospitals, ITC, Eicher Motors, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), and HCL Tech, which saw increases of up to 4.72% at closing.

The IT sector played a crucial role in supporting buying activity, with the Nifty IT index rising by 3%. Other sectors like Nifty FMCG, Nifty PSU Bank, Nifty Services, Nifty Consumption, Nifty Auto, Nifty Financial Services, Nifty Private Bank, Nifty Metal, Nifty Healthcare, Nifty Realty, and Nifty Commodities all closed in positive territory. Only the Nifty Oil and Gas index closed in the red.

Overall, the market witnessed broad-based buying. The Nifty Midcap 100 index rose by 904.80 points, or 1.56%, closing at 58,787.30, while the Nifty Smallcap 100 index gained 103.60 points, or 0.54%, to finish at 19,153.70.
