Ada Sharma Breaks Silence on Not Being Part of The Kerala Story 2

Mumbai, March 6: Actress Ada Sharma has addressed her absence from the much-anticipated sequel, ‘The Kerala Story 2,’ following the massive success of the original film. Despite the buzz surrounding the sequel, she firmly believes that discussing a film she is not part of holds no value.

Released in 2023, ‘The Kerala Story’ achieved remarkable box office success, with Ada’s performance winning the hearts of audiences. She portrayed the character of Shraddha, whose journey from innocence to becoming an ISIS terrorist was central to the narrative, eventually transforming into Fatima.

After the announcement of the sequel, fans expressed disappointment over Ada’s name not being included, leading to a flurry of questions on social media. In a recent media interaction, Ada opened up about this issue, stating, “I enjoy discussing films I am part of. When I am not involved, I feel it’s inappropriate to talk about it just to stay in the news.”

She further emphasized, “Whether I was offered a role in the sequel or not should remain between the makers and the actors. This should not be a public discussion.”

Ada elaborated that the first part was based on a story set in an ISIS camp in Afghanistan, showcasing how an innocent girl becomes a terrorist step by step. In contrast, the sequel will feature a completely different storyline. Acknowledging her fans’ affection, she remarked, “My audience loves me dearly. They want to see me in every film. They accept me in every role. In my debut film ‘1920,’ I was quite scary, in ‘The Kerala Story,’ I was sweet, and in ‘Sunflower,’ I played the villain.”

Additionally, Ada revealed that she is currently working on several exciting projects. She will soon be seen in a biopic, an action film, and a horror movie. Recently, she showcased a glimpse of her horror film featuring prosthetic makeup.
