Mumbai, March 27: The T-10 Celebrity Cricket League, known as the Actors Cricket Bash (ACB), has officially kicked off in Mumbai, attracting well-known faces from the television and OTT industry.
Actors Varun Badola and Manav Gohil, along with several popular television personalities, were seen enjoying the matches.
Speaking to the media, Varun Badola expressed his excitement, stating, “Every year, we look forward to ACB and work hard for victory.” He added, “We have reached the finals before but haven’t won. This time, we aim to secure a win.”
The television actor remarked, “It’s not just about cricket; it depends on public interest and economics. When the audience prefers cricket over hockey, there’s not much we can do. However, there has been a slight shift as the Olympics gain popularity, and I hope people will start appreciating other sports as much as they do cricket.”
Manav Gohil described ACB as not just cricket but also a passion. He noted, “When the first season of ACB began, there were many challenges. Those challenges still exist, but a lot has changed over six seasons. Bringing so many TV stars together to play cricket is no small feat, and everyone is putting in their effort.”
When asked about supporting the teams in the finals, the actor mentioned, “This time, Delhi and Chandigarh are facing off, and both are strong teams. Delhi has reached the finals three times, but today it’s a battle, and we’ll see who emerges victorious.”
Discussing the challenges of the matches, Manav highlighted the weather issues, stating that the direct sunlight on the field is making it difficult for players to endure for even a few hours.
It’s worth noting that Manav Gohil recently played a role as an officer of an Indian agency in the newly released film “Dhurandhar-2,” sharing the screen with R. Madhavan. His character has been receiving significant attention.
