
Ranchi, 9 December (Daily Kiran) – Jharkhand has added another gold medal to its tally at the 69th National School Shooting Competition (SGFI), held at The Emerald Heights International School in Indore, Madhya Pradesh. The event was organised under the leadership of the Jharkhand Education Project Council, part of the School Education and Literacy Department of the Jharkhand government.
In the Under-17 boys category, talented shooter Abhinav Pathak secured the gold medal in the 10 metre air rifle open sight event. His precise and consistently excellent performance helped him stand out among the top competitors from across the country, who participated in the event from 6 to 9 December.
The Jharkhand team was led by coach-manager Anuj Kumar and Sanjay Kumar Yadav, whose guidance played a key role in the athletes’ outstanding performance.
Chief Minister Hemant Soren, Education Secretary Umashankar Singh, Project Director Shashi Ranjan, Administrative Officer Sacchidanand Dwivedi Tigga, State Programme Officer Dhirsen A Soreng, and members of the State Sports Department congratulated Abhinav and wished him a bright future for his achievement.
