AAPs Future in Jeopardy Due to Kejriwals Actions, Says Sandeep Dikshit

New Delhi, April 25: Senior Congress leader Sandeep Dikshit has raised concerns about the future of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). He stated that if Arvind Kejriwal continues his current behavior, the party may not survive for long.

In a conversation in New Delhi, Dikshit commented on the recent defection of seven Rajya Sabha members, including Raghav Chadha, to the BJP. He noted that this development was not surprising. Chadha had been making contradictory statements recently and seemed to have become overly ambitious. Reports of discord between Kejriwal and Chadha in Punjab have also surfaced.

Initially, after AAP’s victory in Punjab, Chadha was entrusted with bank collections. However, Kejriwal later took over this responsibility, escalating tensions between them.

Dikshit remarked that ideological differences cannot exist within the party, as there is a lack of coherent ideology. Even good individuals like Sandeep Pathak have become disillusioned with Kejriwal’s actions. Time will reveal how many more members may leave. If the party continues on this path, it will not endure for long.

Regarding the stance of 73 Rajya Sabha members against the Chief Election Commissioner, Dikshit said this was expected. Previously, only a spelling error was used as an excuse. Now, two opposition MPs will keep issuing notices until there is discussion and voting on the matter.

On allegations of expensive furniture being installed in Kejriwal’s new government residence, Dikshit expressed his astonishment. He recalled that Kejriwal faced criticism for constructing a bungalow during his tenure as Chief Minister. He had hoped Kejriwal would have learned from that experience, but it seems he has a strong affinity for the comforts of power. It should be investigated who purchased such expensive furniture and who covered the costs.

As a Member of Parliament, only a limited amount can be spent from CPWD funds. In his capacity as party president, Kejriwal should either use his own furniture or the CPWD-provided items. The source of such costly furniture needs scrutiny.

Dikshit concluded that if an investigation occurs, many more secrets could be unveiled.
