Mumbai, July 29: Bollywood actor Aamir Khan is currently in the spotlight due to controversies surrounding his third marriage and a threatening audio clip he received. The actor has been threatened via an audio message and a Facebook post attributed to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. In the viral audio, a person claiming to be Arzu Bishnoi accuses Khan of promoting ‘love jihad’ and acting against the culture and Sanatan Dharma of the country. The message includes threats to teach him a lesson.
Mumbai police are working to identify the individuals behind these threatening posts and the audio. Reports indicate that the threats emerged on social media under the names Arzu Bishnoi and Tyson Bishnoi, accompanied by both audio and a Facebook post.
During the investigation, police traced the initial IP address of the threat to Sweden. However, the suspect has employed a VPN and Tor browser to hide their identity and location, causing the IP address to bounce continuously. Currently, no official FIR has been filed in this matter, but the police cyber team is actively trying to locate the sender and track the IP address.
This controversy began following Aamir Khan’s third marriage, which took place on July 5 with Gauri Sprat in a private ceremony attended by family and close friends. They registered their marriage under the Special Marriage Act.
After the wedding, several individuals and organizations accused Khan of promoting love jihad. Maharashtra Minister Nitesh Rane and other politicians have also commented on the issue, while some groups have staged protests.
Aamir Khan has previously defended himself against these accusations, stating that none of his wives converted to another religion during their marriages. He clarified that his marriages were civil unions. Gauri Sprat is not Hindu but Christian, and their families respect different religions.
Aamir Khan’s first marriage was to Reena Dutta in 1986, which ended in divorce in 2002. He then married filmmaker Kiran Rao in 2005, but they separated in 2021. He has two children, Junaid and Ira, from his first marriage, and a son, Azad, with Kiran Rao.
