Lucknow : The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Friday released a third list of 33 candidates for the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections, taking the total nominees declared so far to 203 out of 403 seats in the state.
AAP UP in-charge and Rajya Sabha member Sanjay Singh and state President Sabhajit Singh announced the candidates at a press conference here.
Sanjay Singh said that people who have made significant contributions to the society have been given ticket.
These include a former IAS officer, two doctors as well as nine post-graduate and 13 graduate candidates. Eight of the candidates are from general category, four are Muslims, 11 are OBC and 10 are from SC category.
AAP has given ticket to ex-Navy sailor Ajay Kumar from Lucknow Cantt, Vaibhav Shahi from Gorakhpur Rural, Satyendra Kori from Kanpur Nagar, Shiver Nagvanshi from Bareilly Cantt, Dr Shiv Pratap Singh Rajput from Etawah, Nazir Khan from Fatehpur Sikri, Ajay Rai Munna from Ballia City, Arjun Singh from Nagina (Bijnore), Deepshikha from Orai (Jalaun), Dr Chandrakant Yadav from Kannauj, Arjun Singh Yadav from Etah and Abdul Rajik from Hussainganj (Fatehpur).
