Cold Wave Persists in Madhya Pradesh: Light Showers Expected in Bhopal, Indore, and Gwalior
Bhopal, January 28: Madhya Pradesh continues to experience a cold wave as the northern winds bring a chilling effect across the state. However, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted light showers in Bhopal, Indore, Gwalior, and 15 other districts on January 29, due to the influence of a Western Disturbance. While heavy rainfall is unlikely, February is also expected to bring sporadic showers in parts of the state.

Rainfall and Temperature Forecast
According to IMD, the cold wave that has gripped the state for the past four days is expected to ease from Tuesday. Day and night temperatures are likely to increase by 2 to 3 degrees Celsius as the weather transitions with the onset of a Western Disturbance.
- January 29: Light showers expected in Bhopal, Indore, Gwalior, Sehore, Panna, Rajgarh, Singrauli, Rewa, Shadol, Sagar, Narmadapuram, Datia, Shivpuri, Guna, and Ashoknagar.
- February 1-4: A second Western Disturbance will bring scattered rain, especially to eastern and southern Madhya Pradesh, including Rewa, Shahdol, Jabalpur, Sagar, Gwalior, Chambal, and Narmadapuram divisions.
