Jaipur : As part of the South Western Command Investiture Ceremony a Multi Activity Display was organised at Bathinda Military Station for the awardees, serving personnel, families and students to showcase rich military traditions, adventure as part of normal military life and martial music arousing patriotic fervour.
The display was conducted in the presence of Lieutenant General Amardeep Singh Bhinder, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief, South Western Command, Lt Gen Sanjiv Rai, GOC, Chetak Corps, all serving personnel and families of the station.
The event demonstrated the “Unity in Diversity” of our great nation with gallant Marathas showcasing Malkhamb, Veer Madrasis showcasing Kalaripayattu, continuity drill and Khukhri dance by the brave Gorkha Soldiers.
The Hot Air Balloon and Para Motor Display did add the third dimension acts and showcased natural risk taking propensity of the army soldiers as a way of life. The audience were also kept spellbound by the human and dog interaction demonstrating basic obedience and special training skills.
The motorcycle riders display by the team from “Crops of Signals” popularly known as DARE DEVILS made the audience sit on the edge of the seats whereas Mass Military Band mesmerised one and all with martial music tunes.
