VIJAY DIWAS – 1971 INDO PAK WAR VICTORY CELEBRATIONS AT JODHPUR ON 16TH DEC

Jaipur : The anniversary of victory in 1971 Indo-Pak war will be celebrated as Vijay Diwas at Jodhpur based Konark War Memorial on 16 December 2022. The event aims to remember and pay homage to the Bravehearts who made the supreme sacrifice, as also to instill a sense of pride amongst the people and spread the message of solidarity with the veterans.

Apart from distinguished Military officials, the event will also be attended by civil dignitaries of State Executive, Police & BSF officials, NCC cadets and school students from various schools of Jodhpur. HH Maharaja Gaj Singh Ji and Mr Naveen Jindal will be the chief guest for the event.

The event will commence at 1100h (11 AM) on 16th December with laying of wreath by HH Maharaja Gaj Singh Ji, Mr Naveen Jindal & Lieutenant General Rakesh Kapoor, GOC, Konark Corps as a mark of respect to those who made the supreme sacrifice in 1971 INDO PAK WAR.

This will be followed by hoisting a 108 ft National Flag presented to the Konark War Memorial by The Flag Foundation of India, in the hands of the oldest veteran. A facility of E-Shraddhanjali will also be placed to facilitate general public to offer tributes to the fallen heroes at the touch of a button. Subsequently, the military band will play National Anthem and martial music.

The Desert Corps Commander will also felicitate the Gallantry award winners who participated in the historic 1971 Indo-Pak war and interact with the Veer Naris and Veterans.
