Fatehpur : A goods train hauling an empty wagon from Kanpur station derailed at Ramwan station on Sunday morning. The train’s eight wagons collided and damaged the tracks, affecting train traffic on the Delhi-Howrah line to be disrupted. Twelve trains, including the Vande Bharat, have been re-routed.
The work on cleaning the track and fixing the OHE has begun. According to a railway spokesperson, the train’s eight waggons stacked on top of one another. Due to the interruption of both tracks, twelve passenger trains, including the Vande Bharat Express, have been disrupted. Railway engineers have suggested that traffic on the route might resume by the evening.
