Mumbai, April 21 : The BSE Sensex on Thursday spurted 459 points to 57,496.50 as buying was seen across the board. The Nifty too rose 126.20 points to 17,262.75. The Sensex registered the days high and low at 57,537.30 and 57,311.86 points respectively. The Nifty registered the days high and low at 17,276.30 and 17,215.50 points respectively. The Mid moved up 0.80 per cent and Small Cap by 1.28 per ent In 30 scrips, 24 advanced while 6 declining. The gainers were Asian Paints by 2.17 per cent to Rs 3150, Reliance Industries by 1.71 per cent to Rs 2765, IndusInd Bank by 1.59 per cent to Rs 987.75, TCS by 1.49 per cent to Rs 3609.10 and Infosys by 1.33 per cent to Rs 1609.60. The losers were Nestle India by 2.25 per cent to Rs 17,901.70, Tata Steel by 1.04 per cent to Rs 1300.10, Powergrid by 0.20 per cent to Rs 226.65 and Tech Mahindra by 0.10 per cent to Rs 1308.45.
