Imphal, April 20 : Governor of Manipur La. Ganesan stated that any infiltration or illegal immigration to the State should be checked and all infiltrators should be sent back. On the second day of his two-day visit to Ukhrul and Kamjong districts, Governor interacted with the villagers at a programme held at the Town Hall of Kamjong District Headquarters on Wednesday. Governor said infiltrators are deliberately trying to sneak into our territory from the Myanmar side mostly in the border areas. He said, as we are sharing a long borderline with Myanmar, all should be vigilant enough to check such an act and should inform authorities if such a case arises. Being a border state, the Government alone cannot stop such illegal activities without people’s cooperation. Governor appealed to the people to co-operate Government in this regard. Reiterating that the Centre and the State Governments are fully committed to all-round development and to give maximum benefits to the people, La. Ganesan said, most of the development works are in the planning map. He said roads are being built and basic infrastructures will also be developed in Kamjong district. Any issues about development will be taken care of by the State Government and also will apprise the Centre if necessary, he added. Governor urged the people to implement ABCD which means A for Aadhar enrollment, B for opening Bank Account, C for Covid19 Vaccination and D for taking part in developmental activities. NS ARN
