Patna, April 20 : Amid speculations over the chances of Tejaswi Prasad Yadav becoming RJD president, Bihar Deputy Chief Minister and senior BJP leader Tar Kishore Prasad on Wednesday dubbed RJD a family-based party where there was no opport ty for others to lead the organisation. Prasad told media persons here that a large number of leaders and workers had spent their entire lives strengthening the party but they never got opport ties to serve at the top level of the organisation. There was nothing surprising over the chances of Tejaswi becoming RJD president as it was a family-based party, he added. ” Top positions of RJD always revolve around family members of party supremo Lalu Prasad– largely limited to his wife, son and daughter”, Deputy Chief Minister said. RJD leaders, outside family members of Lalu, had never been given respect in the party, he added. Former RJD MLA Shakti Singh Yadav, reacting over the allegation of Prasad, said that his party was strongly committed to a strong ideology of social justice. RJD never compromised with its principles, he stressed. Yadav rubbished the allegation of RJD being dubbed as a family-based party, saying BJP was itself a family-based party. BJP was a party of Narendra Modi where only his sycophants were being promoted, he added. “Son of Rajnath Singh is being promoted while Piyush Goel and Anurag Thakur are also symbol of kinship and nepotism in BJP”, RJD leader said. BJP was engaged in spreading false and communal hatred, he alleged. KKS ARN
