Criminals spreading terror in UP: Akhilesh

Lucknow, April 18 : Samajwadi Party (SP) president Akhilesh Yadav on Monday alleged that law and order situation in Uttar Pradesh was in a poor shape and that criminals elements were spreading terror with double speed everywhere. In a statement issued here, Akhilesh said, “Law and order situation in UP is in poor shape. Criminal elements are spreading their terror with double speed every where. Trampling of the people by Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) with the vehicle having double engine power continues unabated.” He further said that two brothers were killed after being mowed down by the vehicle of a BJP MLA in Lakhimpur Kheri. “Two minor girls have been abducted in Bulandshahr. Police has neither lodged an FIR, nor has it started any investigation. In state capital Lucknow, criminals played havoc right under the nose of the Chief Minister. Twenty criminals created ruckus in five police station areas, hurled bombs and fired on car passengers,” alleged the SP chief. He said in Rampur, an agent of a finance company was killed in front of his mother on Sunday. “In Lucknow’s Gomti Nagar extension, a bouncer of a bar stabbed the manager with a pen and a couple was killed by relatives in Prayagraj,” added Akhilesh. The SP chief alleged that in BJP-ruled states, the democratic institutions were being attacked mercilessly. “Criminals are turning unbridled in UP.
