New Delhi, April 17 : Political leaders from all across India on Sunday greeted the people, especially the Christian comm ty, on the auspicious occasion of Easter, marking the resurrection of Lord Jesus Christ. Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal in a Twitter post said: A very Happy Easter to all of you. Wishing you a year filled with love, peace and prosperity. Bharatiya Janta Party President Jagat Prakash Nadda greeted everyone on Easter saying: We remember the teachings of Lord Christ today and let them guide us towards the creation of a wonderful world full of love, harmony and peace. Minister of Road Transport & Highways Nitin Gadkari said that may this festival (Easter) further the spirit of brotherhood, hope & peace among us. “Greetings and best wishes on the auspicious occasion of Easter,” Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot said, adding that This day gives new hope and inspires us to follow the path of compassion and forgiveness. May this Easter bring joy and peace in everyone’s lives! Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan said may the message of Easter inspire us on our journey to a prosperous and peaceful tomorrow. “Christ’s love and sacrifice will give impetus to our struggles to end injustice and inequality. Let this day be full of joy, hope and peace,” Vijayan said. Chhattisgarh CM Bhupesh Baghel wished happy Easter saying that it is believed that Jesus Christ was resurrected on the holy day of Easter. This day reminds us of the teachings of Jesus Christ. “Let us all work for the good of humanity by taking inspiration from the teachings of love, sacrifice and compassion given by Jesus Christ,” Baghel said. Congress MP Rahul Gandhi also took to Twitter to greet the people. “My best wishes and greetings to everyone on the joyous occasion of Easter. May the teachings of Jesus Christ further the spirit of harmony, love and compassion in our society,” he said. Meghalaya CM Conrad Sangma said that he attended Easter Mass at Sacred Heart Cathedral, Delhi with his family. In a Twitter post, Sangma said: Easter is Jesus’ victory over death & is a testimony of God’s unfailing love. May the miraculous resurrection of Jesus bring miracles and instil hope in our lives. Wishing a happy Easer, West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee said: May hope, love, peace and joy always touch the lives of each of our families, our neighborhoods, our cities, our country and our world.
