Kannur, April 11 : Don’t compare Maharashtra’s bullet train project with Kerala Government’s proposed K-Rail Project, CPI (M) General Secretary Sitaram Yechury said on Monday. Addressing a press conference here, Yechury said “In Maharashtra, the people are not getting compensation for their lands acquiring for the bullet train project. But, in Kerala, the Left Democratic Front (LDF) Government is ready to pay good compensation to those who offer the land for the K-Rail development works.” Claiming that the K-Rail (Silver line) is a joint project of Central and State, he said discussions were going on at regular intervals with the Centre on survey. He said Kerala Government is interested in implementing the K-Rail project considering the development of the State. The party congress also determined that the alternative policies of the LDF government should be highlighted before the country. AK DS SY 1447
