CPI (M) to call meet of pol parties to defeat BJP-RSS Hindutva agenda

Kannur, April 11 : CPI(M) will convene a meeting of political and social organizations of North Indian and North Eastern States soon as part of an action plan to defeat Hindutva agenda of the BJP-RSS, Party General secretary Sitaram Yechury said on Monday. Addressing a press conference here, Yechury said the Party Congress has called for an action plan to face the challenges of Hindutva communalism unleashed by the BJP led Central Government. He said the party has already announced that “Left is determined and resolved to take on the challenge of BJP led Central Government through ty among secular and progressive forces with alternative measures. The fascist forces are trying to polarise the people religiously and ethnically, he alleged. Yechury said the Left-led CPI(M) will continue to work for a democratic alternative in the country and will strengthen the secular alliance to safeguard secularism, federalism and constitutional rights. The Kannur party congress has planned to overcome the Hindutva agenda and ensure the Left parties’ struggle reaches northern States including Assam. He also said political, ideological and cultural interventions are required in Assam where people are being divided on communal basis. AK DS SY 1521
