Kolhapur, April 10 : BJP’s Leader of Opposition in Maharashtra Assembly, Devendra Fadnavis, on Sunday trained his gun on the party’s former ally Shiv Sena, saying that after becoming a constituent of Maha Vikas Aghadi the latter has had deviated from agenda of Hindutva and has become a ‘secular’ party just as its other partners NCP and Congress. Talking to reporters here this afternoon while campaigning for BJP candidate Satyajeet Kadam in Kolhapur-North assembly constituency for by-election, he further said that after becoming a part of MVA government, the Sena has also become obsequious of the minority comm ty and deviated from Hindutva. It was clear from the fact that when one of its office-bearers printed a calender in Urdu language and referred to late Sena chief Bal Thackeray as ‘Janab’, he noted. Fadnavis however seized the opport ty to express his protest on alleged attack by striking State Transport employees on NCP chief Sharad Pawar’s house in Mumbai, saying it was totally wrong to attack any senior political leader’s residence. But, he criticised the MVA government for taking a difficult stance on ongoing ST employees agitation by avoiding discussion with them. Continuing his attack on the MVA government, Opposition leader claimed that people were unhappy with the state government for its failure in all sectors. After recent floods, the MVA government had failed to give any financial help to flood affected farmers as given by his government, Fadnavis added. This anger would be seen in this by-election result with Satyajeet Kadam of BJP winning the Kolhapur-North assembly seat, he expressed. SSS SS SHK1830
